BBC News, Los Angeles
The issue of universal health care seems destined to a central issue in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections next year.
Come with the Congress to adopt a national plan to a halt, the states are beginning to take their destiny into their own hands.
In California, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has won approval from lawmakers comprehensive reform of health care that the coverage will extend to the state safer.
It took almost a year, sometimes stubborn haggling, but legislators from the United States, the most populous state has done what many predicted they could not
Have approved a bill to extend health insurance for nearly all in the most populous state in the country - 36 million of them.
It is true that the measure still must be approved by the Senate and ratified by referendum, but it is nevertheless a remarkable achievement.
A national model?
A jubilant Arnoldd Schwarzenegger came out to welcome the vote as "a big step."
He believes that the UN Security glamorous titles and Health Care Cost Reduction Act could eventually provide a model for the nation.
But ironically, the greatest opposition to his regime by members of his own party.

Sounds like it. Yes, but taxes to increase the national (or health shall be paid in this case) that are even better not only for lower insurance costs (and the saved money in the amount you have to) pay taxes, but it need not be feared if the insurance or fund treatment.
I live in the United Kingdom and work in the NHS (our universal health care). Has problems, but not as much as the U.S. health care system has. Despite the expenditure per capita than in other developed countries, the United States have worse health status. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care ... Life expectancy and infant mortality figures in the United States than in other industrialized countries, despite more money spent (and lost) in the United States.
In the UK there are waiting lists for routine problems. Problems that are waiting to emergencies when treated. In addition, the United Kingdom, people can also private health care.
I understand that Americans are proud to live in tCountry's richest and most powerful in the world. What I do not understand is why simply Amercian expensive health care system, where children die if there is a better chance at life, if it were born in another developed country.

Tax increases are worth it, if equitable distribution not force the middle class to pay for health care through insurance premiums for each outragous
would be a big leap into the middle class, more working poor finnaly receive preventive rather than clog the emergency room if they have a cold
Last Nite I just read that the # 1 is now emergency services to treat a cold for the uninsured, it is the confusion?
I agree with Heyteach is an important thing to improvise on a practical solution when it comes to health and care for each of us to make sure that is done just to finally be a success!
